Acceptance of Terms
By accessing or using SpeedKara (“the Site”), you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. If you do not agree, please do not use the Site.
Description of Service
SpeedKara is a community-run leaderboard that tracks and ranks Karazhan speedruns from WarcraftLogs for Fresh Classic servers. The Site provides automated log validation, ranking, run comparison tools, and community features such as video submissions and run reporting.
User Conduct
By using the Site, you agree not to:
- Submit false or misleading run reports
- Attempt to manipulate leaderboard rankings through fraudulent logs or exploits
- Submit content that is offensive, abusive, or violates the rights of others
- Attempt to gain unauthorized access to admin features or the database
- Scrape, overload, or otherwise interfere with the Site’s normal operation
- Use the Site for any unlawful purpose
User Submissions
When you submit content to the Site (video URLs, run reports), you grant SpeedKara a non-exclusive, royalty-free right to display and use that content in connection with the leaderboard. Video submissions are subject to admin approval before appearing publicly.
You are solely responsible for the content you submit. We reserve the right to remove any submission at our discretion.
Leaderboard Data
Leaderboard data is sourced from publicly available WarcraftLogs reports. The Site processes this data automatically; while we strive for accuracy, we do not guarantee that all rankings or validations are error-free. Runs may be marked invalid by admins following community reports or routine review.
Intellectual Property
World of Warcraft, Karazhan, and related content are trademarks of Blizzard Entertainment. WarcraftLogs is a trademark of its respective owner. SpeedKara is an independent fan project and is not affiliated with or endorsed by Blizzard Entertainment or WarcraftLogs.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Site is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranties of any kind, either express or implied. We do not warrant that the Site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.
Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, SpeedKara and its operators shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages arising from your use of or inability to use the Site.
Modifications
We reserve the right to modify these Terms at any time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date. Continued use of the Site after changes constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
Termination
We may restrict or terminate your access to the Site at our sole discretion, without notice, for conduct that we believe violates these Terms or is harmful to the Site or its community.
API & Automated Access
SpeedKara does not currently offer a public API. Automated scraping, bulk downloading of leaderboard data, or programmatic access to the Site without prior written permission is prohibited. We rely on Supabase row-level security and rate limiting to protect our database infrastructure. If you are interested in accessing leaderboard data programmatically for research, community tools, or content creation, please contact us to discuss access.
Leaderboard Dispute Process
If you believe a run on the leaderboard is invalid due to exploits, pre-clearing, log manipulation, or rule violations, you may report it using the flag button on any leaderboard row. Reports should include a clear description of the issue and any supporting evidence (timestamps, screenshots, or links to relevant WarcraftLogs data).
All reports are reviewed by SpeedKara administrators. The review process typically involves examining the combat log data, cross-referencing with video evidence where available, and consulting community knowledge. Admins may mark runs as invalid, dismiss reports if the run is determined to be legitimate, or request additional evidence from the reporting party. Decisions are final but may be revisited if new evidence emerges.
Community Guidelines
SpeedKara is a community project built on trust and sportsmanship. When interacting with the Site, Discord, or any SpeedKara communication channel, users are expected to:
- Treat other players, guilds, and community members with respect
- Submit only accurate and honest run reports — filing false reports to sabotage competitors is a violation of these Terms
- Provide helpful and constructive feedback when reporting bugs or requesting features
- Respect the competitive integrity of the leaderboard — do not share or promote exploits, log manipulation techniques, or methods to bypass validation
- Not impersonate other guilds, players, or administrators
- Not use the Site to harass, defame, or target other community members
Violations of these guidelines may result in removal of submitted content, restriction of access, or permanent bans at the administrators’ discretion.
Video Submission Terms
Runs that reach the top 10 on any leaderboard are required to provide video evidence of the full run. Video submissions must be hosted on YouTube or Twitch and must show the complete raid from start to finish without significant gaps. Videos are reviewed by administrators before being published alongside the leaderboard entry.
By submitting a video URL, you confirm that you have the right to share the video and that it does not contain content that violates these Terms. SpeedKara displays videos via embedded players and does not re-host or download video content. Administrators may reject or remove videos that are incomplete, contain offensive content, or do not correspond to the claimed run.
