Speedrun Rules

The run must be logged from the very start of the raid (starting point detection via entrance NPCs or first combat)

All 11 Karazhan bosses must be killed in a single continuous log

All required trash mobs (listed below) must be killed

Time is measured from the first combat event in Karazhan to the last boss kill

Only the fastest run per guild is shown by default (toggle “Show all runs” to see every valid log)

Every run must begin on a fresh instance ID — preclearing trash or bosses before the timed run is not allowed

Runs ranked top 10 on the leaderboard must provide video footage of the full run so the community can verify the fresh-instance requirement

Adjusted TimeThe leaderboard offers an Adjusted Time toggle that removes inherently random time sources so guilds can be compared on skill rather than luck:

Opera fight duration — the actual time spent fighting the Opera boss is subtracted (detected automatically from the log). If trash mobs are present during the encounter, only the clean portion of the fight (after all trash dies) is deducted.

Opera variant bonus — a fixed discount based on which Opera event was rolled, reflecting the variance in roleplay event time:

Oz — 13 seconds
Big Bad Wolf — 3 seconds
Romulo & Julianne — 0 seconds

The adjusted leaderboard ranks guilds by adjusted_time = run_time − clean_opera_fight − opera_bonus.Important: The Opera deduction exists solely to reduce the impact of RNG on comparative rankings. Any manipulation of the Opera encounter (e.g. resetting or restarting the event more than once) will result in the run being marked invalid.Allowed: Pulling trash into the Opera encounter — however, the time where trash is alive during the fight will not be deducted from your adjusted time. Other RaidsSpeedKara tracks speedruns for all seven TBC Classic raids. Each raid has its own set of required bosses, starting points, and trash mob kills. Select a raid from the navigation above to view its specific rules.

Zul’Aman — 10-player, 6 bosses. The “Without Skips” category requires all bosses and specific Amani trash packs. The run ends when Zul’jin is killed.

Serpentshrine Cavern — 25-player, 6 bosses. Hydross trash is not required and does not start the timer. The run ends when Lady Vashj is killed.

Tempest Keep: The Eye — 25-player, 4 bosses. Required trash includes Bloodwarder, Phoenix-Hawk, and Crystalcore packs throughout the instance.

Mount Hyjal — 25-player, 5 bosses. A straight-forward raid that requires 124 Ghoul kills as the primary trash requirement.

Black Temple — 25-player, 9 bosses. The largest trash mob requirement list, covering Coilskar, Bonechewer, Illidari, and Shadowmoon packs. The run ends when Illidan Stormrage is defeated.

Sunwell Plateau — 25-player, 6 bosses. Includes a 1-minute penalty per character swap. Kalecgos must be the first boss killed, and 4 Sunblade Protectors must die before the first boss pull.
